Taxes can be paid with cash, personal or certified checks, and money orders. You may bring in your payment, use the drop box, or mail the payment. If you are using the drop box, be aware that the payment will not be considered received until the next business day. If you are mailing, please give at least 3-5 days to reach us. Postmarks are not accepted.
If you use your bank’s online payment feature, be aware that a check is cut and mailed to us by the bank. Give at least 7-10 days for this process.
Once the tax sale process has begun, only cash, certified checks, or money orders will be accepted.
If you require a receipt, please send the entire bill back with your payment, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Your bill will be receipted and returned to you.
Credit Card payments (and/or E-check) can be made online. To use this feature, click on this link official payments; enter the block, lot and qualifier or the account number, or your name or address. Tax Bill Information
The 2016 Final/2017 Preliminary Tax Bills were mailed 7/18/16. If a replacement/duplicate bill is needed, please contact the Tax Collector’s office.
The Office of the Collector is also responsible for the billing and collection of utility charges. These charges are billed annually and are due April 1, as directed by Township Ordinances. If a prior year’s utility charges remain unpaid by December 31, they are subject to the same tax sale law as for taxes.
Please note this bill is in addition to the quarterly CCMUA (Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority) each property receives. The Township bill is for maintenance of the sewer system within Voorhees and the CCMUA billing is for the waste treatment center.
Beginning in 2016 you will have the option to have your Annual Sewer Bill emailed to you. If you wish to receive your sewer bill in this manner, please send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
NEW PAYMENT OPTION-DIRECT DEBIT
Voorhees Township is pleased to offer the convenience of Direct Debit of your TAX and SEWER payments from your personal account to Voorhees Township's account. Complete and return an ACH form with a VOIDED CHECK from your account (form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page or contact office to have form emailed to you). There is NO additional charge/fee for this service. The tax transfer date will be the 1st of the month of the Quarter due. The utility transfer date will be the 1st of the month due (4/1). Your account must be current to begin this service.
**If you take advantage of the ACH SERVICE, please remember if you sell your home or no longer wish to have this service active, you must notify our office in writing to remove the bank account information provided.**
The Voorhees Township Tax Office is now accepting credit card payments and electronic checks.
(Please note we cannot take credit cards at our office nor can we take payments over the phone).
Two options are available:
- Payments can be made by calling 1-800-272-9829. Follow the key prompts. They will walk you through the system. You will be asked to provide a jurisdiction code. The code for Voorhees Township is 4064.
- Payments can be accepted via the Internet. The Web Site is: www.officialpayments.com.
If you choose to make payments using the Ebill payment option through your own bank please note the following:
Online payments are not electronic transfers, since your bank mails the Township a physical check. The Tax Office is mandated by State statute to use the date the payment is received as the date of payment, not the date on the check. Please check your bank’s policy on delivery times to avoid late interest charges. Most banks recommend scheduling payment on or before the due date (the 1st) in order for payment to be received within the grace period.
